waking up to 46* and beautiful sunshine , coffee and French music , my Sunday rituals!!! After a bit of work on the house I made a blueberry loaf of bread and headed out to the mayors camp ( that means a lake cabin up here in Canada ) . Enjoyed an incredibly relaxing afternoon boating and visiting with the whole Texas gang that have moved part time to Mcadam . The major and his wife hosted us with an amazing cookout with all the homemade goods to go with . Going to bed happy and tired , not taking for granted one single day or minute or event or hug or kind words shared !! Life is so very precious , use it wisely ❤️

A day full of shopping for project supplies , sander , new kitchen faucet , plumbing supplies to stop noisy pipes , window shades , sheets , new beds !!! It’s so tempting to just focus on work , then it’s sunday morning and time for coffee and french cafe music . It’s rainy and cool outside , time to slow down and enjoy . Dancing to waltz music and laughing at our miss steps !! Life is short , enjoy the journey !! Where ever you find yourself this morning , do one thing that makes you happy ❤️

so ….. we made a change of plans and decided to skip Quebec City and go straight to Mcadam . Like the stable horse , when you get that close to home , you just wanna get there . So here we are wiping the dust of everything to prepare dinner and take a fast walk to the lake . The LAKE is incredibly beautiful and still and pristine and quiet and nobody is there !!! Just nature and quiet . No matter that the hot water heater is making any hot water , we can deal with tomorrow ! Tonight it’s just peace and quiet .

We have spent the last couple days at this amazing wonder, such a mix of cultures from all over the world . Actually truth be told a lot too many people for my own personal comfort , but that said so glad to have seen it at night time and early morning ! Had dinner from the 33 rd floor of a hotel and enjoyed the view !! On the road again today to Quebec City , have heard all good things about it . Have managed to become experts at unpacking and repacking the car ! Really love the road tripping part of the journey , I do believe the travel bug has bit me 😉

got up this morning for early walk about to see the arch up close . Blues museum on the way there . Heading to Lake Michigan today , plan is to put feet in all 5 Great Lakes !

Rainy travels , podcast listening , deep conversations , enjoying life , being the moment ! Choosing happiness . Choosing joy . Out of comfort zone .

So much for an early start , finally all ready to go !

next year maybe a backpack 😜. Jump I. The car and the battery is dead as a door knob , what ever that means , after a quick jump start from the spare truck , we are off . Best made plans can always have a snag !! Isn’t that a picture of life anyway ? We think we know what needs to happen and then an event or situation puts us on a different path . Made it to Oklahoma from the hills country in Texas , tomorrow St. Louis ❤️
